The School of Architecture and Design (SOAD) celebrated World Heritage Day, marking the culmination of its year-long community engagement initiative, CREAT–MULYA (Map, Understand, Learn, Yukti, Act). Held at the Government Boys’ School, Sohna, the event showcased the extensive work carried out by SOAD students in Sohna and Raisena village through the MULYA Exhibition, featuring documentation, drawings, and design explorations focused on local heritage and traditional architecture.
To engage school students, a drawing competition on the theme of environmental awareness was organised, encouraging them to creatively explore the relationship between heritage and the environment. Environment-themed comic books were also distributed to make Raisena’s history more accessible.
As part of its outreach, the university donated whiteboards to support the school’s infrastructure and conducted an awareness activity featuring the Tippi Tippi Tap to promote sanitation and the protection of heritage environments.
