The School of Medical and Allied Sciences organised an academic visit to the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research—Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB) for M.Pharm students. The visit provided students with valuable exposure to advanced research techniques in genomics, bioinformatics, and drug discovery. The students toured state-of-the-art laboratories, observed cutting-edge equipment such as Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) and mass spectrometry, and engaged with researchers working on projects in precision medicine and molecular biology. This visit significantly enhanced the students’ understanding of the practical applications of their pharmaceutical studies and highlighted emerging trends in personalised medicine and integrative biology.
