NSS organised a Nukkad Natak (street play) on the theme “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” at Lakhuwas village as part of Mission Poshan 2.0. The event aimed to raise awareness among the community about the importance of proper nutrition (Poshan) and education (Padhai) for children’s holistic development. The Nukkad Natak commenced with a gathering of volunteers and villagers at the crossroads of the village. The NSS volunteers enthusiastically performed the street play, which highlighted several key messages such as the importance of providing children with nutritious food to support their physical and mental growth, the role of education in shaping the future of children and empowering them to contribute positively to society, and practical steps for parents to ensure that children receive both proper nutrition and education. Information about government initiatives such as the Mid-Day Meal Scheme and Mission Poshan 2.0 was also shared to encourage parents to take advantage of these programs. The performance was interactive, involving the children and women of the village through the play that addressed common myths and misconceptions regarding child nutrition and schooling.
